Episode 36: The National Safe Place Program

Have you ever seen those yellow signs that say SAFE PLACE? The National Safe Place Program is a voluntary, 24-7-365 service for anyone from age 0 to 17 in danger or difficulty of any kind.  Here in Lexington, it’s run by Shantel Stevenson, Youth Services Coordinator for Arbor Youth Services. Shantel talked with Hellen about how vulnerable young people can get connected to professional assistance within minutes. And it’s simple for all of us to help.
