Episode 29: Zika Awareness Campaign & Protecting Your Hearing

As the Zika epidemic unfolds, the Lexington Health Department has launched an awareness campaign, encouraging property owners to eliminate standing water that could allow mosquitoes to breed. Their annual spraying program is also beginning. Luke Mathis, Team Leader for Environmental Health, describes these efforts. Then, for Better Hearing Month, we’ll talk with Safety First audio guy James Willard Spencer about the importance of protecting your hearing. It only takes a temporary exposure to loud sound to cause permanent damage.
